Ralph Ardolina - #25 - SS
Ralph, an original Falcon helped create the squad and has managed the team since its inception in 2002. Ralph has led the team to 11 playoff appearances and 4 championship titles through 7 years and was a nominee for manager of the year in 2003. Originally an outfielder, Ralph made the transition to shortstop in 2007 to join an already solid defense and complete an impressive double play combo. Ralph is the Falcons leader in runs scored, doubles, walks and tied for 2nd in hits.
Mike Carr - #16 - OF
A long time veteran of the Tony Fabiano Softball League Mike Carr offers over 25 years of softball experience. Added on to the roster in the Fall of 2002 Mike was an integral piece in the Falcons worst-to-first climb in that inaugural year. One of Mike's biggest moments was hitting a clutch 2 run triple to set up a 4 run 9th inning comeback in the 2003 Summer semi-finals. Mike is known for his steady bat, fundamentally sound fielding, and constant winning attitude. He is also the captain of post game refreshments and spokesman for the benefits of pre-game potassium intake.
Pasquale Cesare - #23 - 1B
Pasquale is an original Falcon who has manned the leadoff spot in the lineup since the early days of the team. The lone left handed bat in the lineup, Pasquale has bedeviled teams with his opposite field hitting and his lightning quickness. His speed has forced countless errors by the competition and has ultimately eliminated opponents hope for a routine ground out. He has been the catalyst to many a Falcon rally and is known for stretching singles into triples and doubles into homers. Pasquale is the Falcons all time leader in hits and is a 3 time Falcons batting champion.
Dimi Douvas - #11 - C
Rob Gschweng - #10 - OF
Rob is an original Falcon who was recuited from the Tony Fabiano League. He has patrolled almost every outfield position during his tenure, but has really made his mark definisvely by providing gold glove defense in right center field during the past 2 seasons. He has been a consistant table setter at the top of the lineup and has shown unwavering dedication year in and year out. Especially through his injury plaqued 2004 season. Rob was instrumental in the Falcons playoff success in the Fall of 2008 by reaching base 10 times in 11 plate appearances.
Chris Morell - #9 - C
Chris is an original Falcon who is one of the more pesky bats in the lineup. Equipped with an excellent ability to slap the ball the other way, Chris also possess one of the best batters eyes on the team. But by far one of Chris' best attributes is keeping a close watch on the strengths and weaknesses of the opposing teams hitters from behind the dish. His input provides an extra edge to the pitcher and the defense. Chris was also instrumental in the Falcons first championship run leading the team in RBI's, hits, and doubles during that postseason.
Angelo Morelli - #13 - OF
Younger brother of Rinaldo, Angelo was the youngest player ever to make his debut with the Falcons in 2002, Angelo joined the team full time in the summer of 2005. Winner of the first Falcons Rookie of the Year award Angelo immediately started performing like a veteran by playing gold glove outfield defense and leading the team in batting average in his first season. Altogether Angelo is a 3 time Falcons batting champion and currently is the Falcons all time leader in batting average. By far Angelo's biggest contribution was in the Fall 2008 postseason where is 14 RBI's was instrumental in helping the Falcons win their 4th championship.
Rinaldo Morelli - #7 - 2B
The elder half of the Morelli duo, Rinaldo is an original Falcon. A key contributor to a strong defense Rinaldo has manned second base with a slick glove for almost the entire 7 year history of the Falcons. He makes up one half of a killer double play duo where his quick pivot at the bag has helped turn many a twin killing. Rinaldo was the first winner of the Falcon golden glove award in 2002. In 2008 Rinaldo set a personal best by driving in 8 runs in one game. He also drove in the winning run in a classic extra inning playoff battle to send the Falcons to the championship game in the Summer 2003 season.
Bob Osa - #19 - P
Bob brings almost 3 decades of softball experience to the Falcons. Another original Falcon, Bob has been toeing the rubber for each of the teams 7 seasons. Bob's craftiness has easily made him one of the best pitchers int he league. His patented "neck pitch" has been baffling opposing hitters continuosly season after season. Nicknamed "rags" for his jersey number and his torn and tattered pants, Bob has thrown 18 career shutouts and boasted his lowest earned run average (3.50) in the 2008 Fall season.
Andrew Pennachio - #21 - 3B
A true slugger, Andrew is an original Falcon who is famous for his "Ruthian" bombs. His smoothe power swing has struck fear in the hearts of the opposition game after game. Nicknamed "Jugz", Andrew is the Falcons all time leader in triples, home runs, RBI's, and slugging percentage. He has more multiple home run games that any other Falcon, and is well on his way to be the first Falcon to hit 100 home runs. When he is not crushing the ball at the plate he is gunning down runners with his rocket arm from 3rd base. Andrew has patroled the hot corner in every game he has played for the Falcons.
Ramiro Rivera - #31 - OF
A firey competitor, Ramiro is the last of the 7 original Falcons. Starting out as a shortstop Ramiro has made a seemless shift to the outfield after 2007 shoulder surgery. He remains a solid defender no matter which part of the field he plays. Often refered to as "the enforcer" Ramiro is the first one to come to teamates aid. Ramiro is also one of the most clutch performers on the team. He frequently rises to the occasion during the post-season. He is tied for first in career playoff homeruns and is second in runs batted in during the post-season. He also ranks 2nd on the all time Falcon home run list.
Dave Venezian - #12 - OF
Dave made an imedaite impact to the Falcons after joining the team during the 2004 Fall season. He provided stellar defense in left field and added another powerful bat in the middle of the lineup. It took a brief hiatus to prove to Dave that he needed the Falcons and vice versa. Since joining the squad Dave has made a habit of throwing out base runners with his strong accurate throws. Dave, a two time Falcon batting champion is most famously known for his mad scramble to home plate from first to tie the game in the final inning of the championship clinching game in the 2004 Fall season.
